Significance of Mahashivratri (Mahashivratri ka Mahatva)

Mahashivratri is celebrated on the 13th or 14th day of dark half (Krishna Paksha) of Phalgun maas. In year 2013 it will be celebrated on 10th March. Most of the ceremonies take place during night.
